Shubumjeet Singh Rakhra
Executive Director
Born and raised in Calgary, Shubumjeet Singh Rakhra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Mount Royal University and a Law Degree from the University of Leicester. His career spans key roles with the Calgary Police Service, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), law firms, and as the former Manager of Punjabi Community Health Services (PCHS) Calgary—a non-profit South Asian mental health agency.
Recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for establishing vital community initiatives like the DCC Food Bank, he blends legal acumen, operational leadership, and deep community devotion to deliver industry-leading, compassionate home care services across Calgary and Alberta.
Chhavi Rakhra
Co-Founder
Raised in Calgary, Chhavi Rakhra graduated in Accounting from SAIT and co-founded the Northeast Enrichment Foundation, bridging critical gaps to social services across Calgary. Alongside her husband, Shubumjeet Rakhra, she shares a deep commitment to community well-being and local connection.
At Karma Home Care, Chhavi is dedicated to ensuring staff deliver exceptional care through comprehensive, meaningful training. She fosters an industry-leading environment that empowers caregivers to grow professionally while cultivating rich, compassionate relationships with clients and families throughout the community.
